One of the raccoons that lives under the deck of our house in Stockbridge, MA got his left arm stuck in a soda or beer can and can’t get it off. He hobbles around with his new peg leg. We were worried about his survival but he seems to be doing OK and the other raccoons don’t give him a hard time. Susan wishes she could catch him and help him. Not sure that would end well, but I appreciate the sentiment. This inspired my most recent portrait of her holding “Can Coon.” For dignity’s sake, the paw with can stuck on it is hidden behind her right shoulder.
